Keo Pagoda Festival
Keo Pagoda Festival is held in spring and autumn with customary of worshipping Khong Lo Zen Master, attracts all local residents in all ages and social positions. Annually, the festival is held on two periods:
Spring Festival is held on 4th of Lunar New Year.
Autumn Festival is held on 13rd, 14th, 15th of Lunar September
Besides worshipping Buddha, Ancient spring festival also includes many activities, competitions, and traditional games associated with farmer’s life such as duck catching, rice cooking contests, firecrackers throwing.
Rituals during 3 days of Autumn Festival are both agricultural, historical festival with folk games and festival with activities. The festival is considered as historical oration about life of Prince Master - Duong Khong Lo, in which cultural activities and folk arts are mingled with religion rites.
Nowadays, some of rites the Keo Pagoda Festival are pruned but the rites in procession are still preserved basically such as snatching frog dance and rowing on land.
